the Art of living

He was born in 1957 in Algeria (French territory at the time) but the family was soon back in France because of the war (1954-1962).

His first artistic studies where guided by his mother Arlette Oger, an artist herself.

From the Sorbonne University to UCLA he went on and on but diversified his artistic options.

He was trained by Francis Coelho in San Francisco and at the same time started to play in various theatres at the right moment he became a painter He was playing in many theatre as well a in TV shows and series and started teaching; organising lectures and leading seminars.

But painting is like an envious mistress and he never abandoned it.

He started then solo and group shows in renowned galleries all over the world.

In 2003 he was among the selected guests in the MOCA (museum of computer art- New York).
Please note that Brussels tried such an experience in 1972, it did not last because it was not the right moment.

Anyway, Benichou never forgot Europe and came back to the rails in Luxemburg, Germany, France, Switzerland, now he just jumped over the border to present his colourful works. In these canvas the deep and generous material is the source of emotion. You must see this exhibition, absolutely.
